Descending keys in MSSQL7

I try the following index in SQL7
create index i1 on tab1 (f1 asc, f2 desc)
and I get an error. If I type the following:
create index i1 on tab1 (f1, f2 desc)
the index is created but the descending index is ignored. Can anyone point me in the right direction ?Features introduced with SQL2K, not supported in version 7,

Deprecated features in 2005

Hello folks,
I am currently working on a project plan to move from SQL7/NT4 to
SQL2005/Win2003 and I am putting together a documentation for our developers
regarding new features and deprecated features in 2005.
Can you point me to a detailed ducumentation on the programming side?
Thanks a lot.http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143729(en-US,SQL.90).aspx

One level up the tree from those:

there are two more important links:
"Database Engine feature changes that might require changes to
applications."

"Other changes in behavior to database features in this release."

Deny access to tables

Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I have
in SQL 2000, I'm an old SQL7 DBA and I haven't used SQL
Server in a few years, so I'm quite rusty.
How do you allow a user access to a database but restrict
what tables they can see/edit. The problem I'm
experiencing is the Public role, I can't seem to delete
it and I don't want to change it's permissions as all the
other users need access to the tables it allows..
Any help - I'm probably missing something so basic and
will kick myself.
Many thanks in advance for any help received.
MichelleHi;
Have a look into DENY statement in Books online
Sample statement to deny all revilages on emp_master table from user : test
DENY all on emp_master to test
Thanks

Thanks for that, I thought that a script might be what
was required.
Thanks for all your help.
